Cornwall Council have received funding to catalyse private investment in nature recovery through DEFRA’s LINC programme. As part of this programme, we will develop and foster a compelling and marketable investment prospectus of viable projects. Support will be offered to eligible and relevant projects to become ‘investment ready’ for various forms of private investment.
Projects must deliver against our target of 30% of land, rivers and sea well-managed for nature by 2030.
We invite you to participate by submitting an Expression of Interest for your organisation’s priority project(s).
By submitting an EOI you are consenting to be part of:
1. The LNP Investment Programme Pipeline– e.g., as lobbying tool, champion projects, put forward for other funds such as Shared Prosperity Funding etc.
2. The LINC project which, if the project is deemed eligible, can include support and assistance in getting projects to a stage of investment readiness in order to be attractive to investors and buyers of Natural Capital – who are also being engaged with as part of LINC.
3. The Cornwall and Tamar Catchment Partnership project pipelines, to be considered for catchment funding opportunities and to identify opportunities to integrate projects with other key partners.
By participating in this call, you agree for the information provided to be shared with relevant partners (e.g., Cornwall and Tamar Catchment Partnerships, potential investors, other applicants where synergies are identified). Please make a note in the final section of your EOI if you would like any information withheld from any of these parties.
You can view information on how we handle your data here.
For those who participated in last year’s LNP Investment Programme, the LINC team will be in contact to confirm the status of your project.

– 30th June 2023
– 30th September 2023
– 31st December 2023
– 31st March 2024
Levels of project support offered are likely to be proportionately contingent on financial size of project; whilst still taking into consideration quality of outputs.Projects that do not qualify for LINC will be considered for the LNP Investment Programme Pipeline and the Cornwall and Tamar Catchment Partnership project pipelines.
The current minimum viable project threshold for the LINC programme is 100k. Instead, your project will be considered for inclusion in the LNP, Cornwall and Tamar Catchment Partnership Investment Programme Pipelines which are subject to annual review cycles. If your project is deemed suitable to form part of an integrated/coordinated project with other key partners and pipelines in Cornwall by the LNP Investment Programme Pipeline it will be recommended for review in line with the LINC Programme.
Your project is eligible for the LINC programme. Your project will be reviewed as part of the LINC programme at the next quarterly review.
